Nike Epic React Flyknit | First Look
Available February 22, 2018 – MSRP $150.00
Continuing the trend of light and responsive running shoes, Nike provides another unique offering with the Epic React Flyknit. Built to deliver a soft yet springy ride, this lightweight trainer is the first to feature Nike’s new React foam technology. Blending stylish comfort with lightweight performance, the Nike Epic React Flyknit looks to be a great addition to the Nike training lineup.
With a one-piece React midsole, the shoe creates a high level of cushioning that is designed to feel soft on impact and springy at toe-off. The foam’s unique shape extends beyond the upper and around the heel to enhance heel cushioning while further creating an inherently stable design. With plenty of cushioning for daily training and a quicker feel for tempo day, the Epic React Flyknit should be a versatile option for any run you throw in its way.
While the outsole is composed mostly of exposed Nike React foam to keep weight at a minimum, the forefoot and heel receive strategic rubber placement. The rubber adds durability in high wear areas and the sticky nature of the compound provides increased traction on the roads.
For a high level of comfort, the shoe receives a soft and secure flyknit upper. The shoe delivers a socklike fit and should maintain a locked down feel throughout your run. The simple design takes cues from the Flyknit Racer to create a supportive and flexible wrap with optimal breathability.
